On Saturday, September 19 at 7:00pm, we will be kicking off the 2026-27 season of Community Concert Series with our very own Worship Accompanist, Theo Shmelev! The concert is FREE to attend, with 100% of donations going to FamilyWise.
The concert program includes selections from Beethoven, Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, Florence Price, and others.
ABOUT THEO SHMELEV
Theo Shmelev is Russian American pianist. He recently graduated from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities with a Bachelor’s of Music degree. Theo performs concerts for the community and teaches piano lessons. He loves his cat named Shosty, and walking in Minneapolis where he resides. He also enjoys speaking and learning different languages including Spanish, German and Greek.

ABOUT THE COMMUNITY CONCERT SERIES
Over the past 15 years, the Community Concert Series has contributed over $100,000 to a variety of community service programs and organizations across the Twin Cities. It’s a perfect combination – enjoying great music and raising money for a worthwhile cause! A delicious snack buffet follows each concert, with free parking available on-street and at Pratt Community School.
