When you walk into PPUMC’s Community Hall the third Wednesday evening of each month, you are greeted with a friendly hello and the aroma of fresh, homemade food. You see tables of people discussing gardens, families, or the meal they are enjoying. You hear laughter, the clinking of silverware, and the occasional call from a server for more chicken from the kitchen.
Here are some other examples of how we put your money to work:
- Feeding our neighbors: We prepare 80 hot meals at our Community Meals and 200 sandwiches once a month, which are then delivered to unhoused people.
- Supporting our community: All donations from our monthly Community Concert Series go to non-profits whose vision for equity and justice align with ours.
- Children’s ministries: Our nursery is staffed during worship, and we have service projects and events for children throughout the year.
- Accessible worship: A dedicated team of volunteers and staff ensure our worship services are available in-person and on Zoom each week, and that Paul’s sermons are available on our website. We have an elevator, hearing assistive devices and large-print and Braille hymnals.
- Welcoming: We charge affordable rent that allows the Community Choir, neighborhood groups, AA, Dignity, art camps, theater groups, and others to use our building. We also provide space for weddings and funerals.
We ask that you prayerfully consider making a pledge to support our ministries in 2027. To make a pledge simply fill out the below form by November 22, 2026. Think about it, pray about it, and come to an amount you’re comfortable with that does not exceed your means. These pledges are a huge help in putting together a budget that supports our ministries.
None of this is possible without donations, and we thank you for pledging what you can to help us continue to keep our tables crowded and a place by the fire for everyone.
