Here at Prospect Park UMC, we have been running the monthly Community Meals program since January and have committed to doing a meal on the third Wednesday of each month on a continuous basis. While we are able to purchase food through the Loaves & Fishes warehouses at a greatly reduced rate, there are some food items like spices and gluten free ingredients that are not available and we have to purchase separately. All are welcome to join us on the third Wednesday of each month from 5:30-6:30pm for a free community meal in Community Hall. Meals will be nutritious, tasty, and balanced with no pork. Dine-in and take-out is available. Meals are in partnership with Loaves & Fishes. Their vision is guided by their vision that all people – regardless of socioeconomic, cultural, religious, or ethnic background – deserve to meet their basic needs for food, dignity, and respect.
