All services are Sunday mornings at 10am, except for Christmas Eve.
First Sunday of Advent, December 1: Hanging the Greens & Communion. Advent arrives while our Thanksgiving dinner is practically still on our tongues! What to do? Begin slowly and together. And keep it simple.
Second Sunday of Advent, December 8: Mysteries & Miracles. So many Christmas legends, so little time! Recalling the beautiful and bizarre remnants of Christmas long past.
Third Sunday of Advent, December 15: PoP-uP Christmas Pageant. This year our pageant will be “family style” and somewhat DIY, as we invite the neighborhood in to join an impromptu telling of the nativity story. Everyone will have a chance to participate in song, word and action!! The Once In a Blue Moon Orchestra/Band will accompany much of the service! And….shhhhh….Santa Claus has promised to visit just after.
Fourth Sunday of Advent, December 22: Service of Lessons & Carols. This annual service combines scripture readings with choir anthems, hymns and carols as we enjoy the sacred time of sacred sanctuary amidst the secular busyness of the season.
Christmas Eve, December 24 at 7:00 p.m.: Christmas Eve Candlelight Service. This festive, sensory service is part prayer, part party. Happy Birthday, Jesus!
December 29: Singing in the New Year. Enjoy the afterglow of Christmas, and anticipate the New Year with this hymn sing. Which songs of peace and justice will you choose to awaken in the new year?
