They will be performing a Christmas concert that includes a mix of traditional carols and secular songs. The concert will include classics such as Silent Night, Jingle Bells, and more… as well as a personal favorite of sextet member Marilee’s: “Joy the World: A Grand Sacred Potpourri”! It’s sure to be a lively & festive performance, so don’t miss out!

The Seymour Brass Sextet features Jake Gysland on Trumpet & Cornet, KP Powell on Trumpet and Flugelhorn, Bob Garnett on French Horn, Brad Voves on Trombone, Marilee Johnson on Euphonium, and Derek Nelson on Tuba.

100% of the proceeds from the freewill offering will benefit our neighbors across the street at Pratt Community School. Pratt receives support from a strong international community fostered by its close proximity to the University of Minnesota. Pratt prides itself on creating an inclusive school community and celebrating its diversity across racial, ethnic and socio-economic boundaries. As a small community school, it offers individualized and active learning experiences where staff knows each child and appreciates them for their unique talents.

Over the past decade+, the Prospect Park United Methodist Church Community Concert Series has contributed over $60,000 to a variety of community service programs and organizations across the Twin Cities. It’s a perfect combination – enjoying great music and raising money for a worthwhile cause! A delicious dessert buffet follows the concert.

PPUMC is located at 22 Orlin Ave SE in Minneapolis, at the foot of the historic Prospect Park Water Tower, one block south of University Ave on Malcolm Ave and adjacent to the Metro Transit Green Line. Free parking is available on-street and at Pratt Community School.
