With roots in the historic Rondo community of Saint Paul, MN, Isiah strives to help people unlock their talents in order to help make a difference in the community they live in. Holding a Master of Divinity from Luther Seminary and a Master of Education in Youth Development and Leadership from the University of Minnesota, he is passionate about community advocacy, leadership development, youth work, organizational structures, mentoring, theology and more. Prior to Prospect Park UMC, Isiah grew up attending and was active in the ministries of Camphor Memorial United Methodist Church.  

Isiah served as a Pastoral Intern both at Camphor UMC and at Beloved United Methodist Church in St. Paul’s East Side. He is a 2022 Fellow of the Josie R Johnson Leadership Academy with the African American Leadership Forum-Twin Cities, a member of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity Inc and serves as a Board Member for the Wesley Foundation at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. 

If we can’t recognize the truth, then it cannot liberate us from untruth. To know the truth is to prepare for it; for it is not mainly reflection and theory. Truth is divine action entering our lives and creating the human action of liberation.
