This “crown of thorns” becomes an urban “Station of the Cross.”
Our Good Friday celebration leads us by new paths and into smaller rooms this year.
We are as upended as the money changers’ tables!
The MN Conference of the UMC is providing two different
Good Friday services to be shared across the state.
The Twin Cities District provides one:
This service is a compilation of scripture and other readings done by clergy folk and others. It was planned and created by District Superintendent Dan Johnson and others. (Pastor Chris reads Mark 14:61-64.) Everyone is invited to view this service. The video will be available by noon on Friday on Hamline Church’s Facebook page and YouTube channel, and in this Dropbox folder.
The second is provided by a group of six other UMC churches:
Champlin UMC, UMC of Anoka, Excelsior UMC, Minnetonka UMC, First UMC of the St. Cloud Region in Sartell, and Community UMC in Monticello are partnering to offer an online Good Friday worship service. Everyone is invited to attend this service. The service will begin at noon on Friday on UMC of Anoka’s YouTube page.
As always, the last word in this story is also the first: LOVE.
