About the Series:
PPUMC is pleased to sponsor a community concert series, with
concerts monthly from September of 2012 through May of 2013. The
concerts are free and open to the public. Children are welcome. A
free-will offering will be taken at each concert with 100% of the
proceeds going to the cause listed for each concert. Some
information about the concerts can be found below. Please check this
page for information updates as concert dates approach!

MPR's very own Michael Barone will be hosting the program. Our
PPUMC Organist, Roberta Kagin, will be joined by organists, Curt
Oliver and Diana Lee Lucker for this amazing evening of organ
music.

Asante Children's Choir (January
concert #1)

- Info: "Asante" means "Thank you" in Swahili.
The Asante Children's Choir is more than just a children's choir
from East Africa! You will experience enthusiastic singing,
dancing, and costumes. The choir was originally formed to have a
way for the kids to express their appreciation of God, of God's
love, and of the support so many show to underprivileged
children and families around the world. Asante is an eleven year
old Christian organization which currently educates, feeds and
provides medical care for more than 1600 children -- mostly
orphans in Rwanda, Uganda, and Burundi. The choir is made up of
20 children from these developing countries..
- Donations: The concert is free, but there
will be a free will offering taken, and an opportunity to buy
African crafts to support the Choir.
